Wicker Smile - The tiger in Korean culture is a goofy self-deprecating beast. While viewed in other lands as a most ferocious hunter, in Korea it is looked upon with great affection and humor (hence the cartoon Tiger mascot in the Seoul Olympics). It never fails to miss an oppurtunity to entertain. Just don't piss it off.
This drawing was inspired by Patrick Nagel's work, which I studied in detail in early college. A Nagel woman's eyes become more idealized and simplified the closer you get to examine them. While I revel in drawing the intricacies and subtleties of the Asian eye.
I love bright smiles and shiny eyes.
