Trauma Queen : Sort of a play on the words "drama queen." I was extremely sad for unknown reasons this month. Maybe I watched too many depressing Korean movies. Maybe that was just a symptom.
Like most of my femmes, I wanted her to look both hard (the scar, the weapons) and soft (the tears). I was hesitant to draw the scar and the tears streaming down her cheek. I don't draw any of my femmes as sad or victimized.
But the scar would be her determination, and the tears her sadness.
It's okay to cry like the hunted, as long as you fight like the hunter.
The tassels hanging from her sword handle on the left are called "norigae." Common in Korean and Chinese decoration.
The face on her right arm sleeve isn't a hockey mask. It's a Korean dance mask representing a leper.
With her armaments, I was toying with the idea of a multi-fire crossbow there.
All the trees in Michigan look like that in winter. (Which is like six months here.)
