Dire Reese : She's a water goddess with the ability to control any sort of water substance. Since all life is made up of H2O, that puts her pretty high on the "Power Hierarchy" compared with my other characters. She's right up there with Emma Raj, the Blood Goddess. Her name is a phonetic for "diurese" which means "to pee," hence the kidneys that she's squeezing. And no, she is not made of urine, she's made of water.
The tattoo on her arm is the zodiac sign for Aquarius. The "LA6" on her thigh stands for "Lasix," a potent and common diuretic we use in medicine. I happen to like her waterfalling hair, I admit. And yeah, that is a skull in the reflection under her arm. Absolute power corrupts and she's all-powerful, baby. That's why she's called "Dire."
Probably the last drawing I'll do in my medical residency. She was modelled after my favorite Victoria's Secret model, Laetitia Casta.
