Nikki Teen and Neil Plasia: I did this drawing in anticipation for another talk I had to give on "Smoking Cessation and Nicotine Addiction." Neil Plasia (as in "neoplasia" meaning "cancer") lurks behind her within the smoke. Nikki Teen's (as in "nicotine") tattoos are supposed to look like smoke and her chained nose, necklace, and wrist are a reference to addiction and chain smoking. Her staff resembles bronchial tubes and that's a lung on the end of one of the branches. After I drew her I think she became my favorite character. But I guess I have an addictive personality like that.
