IN A GALAXY NOT SO FAR AWAY
So, cousin Kevin called our house wondering if we had the baby already.
Apparently he had heard from a friend who happened to be playing Star Wars Galaxies Online in the same galaxy (server) I was. The friend noticed I had suddenly stopped playing and stayed offline. So he thought maybe Amy and I were rushing to the hospital and messaged Kevin.
The funny thing is, there’s a good chance that this is exactly the scenario that will happen prior to our baby being born.
Let’s just hope I am not being swarmed by Imperial stormtroopers when this happens.
Until then, baby needs a new set of uber Mandalorian armor.

Amy thinks the baby will be here any day now. Over the weekend, she was having “painless” contractions and her muscles seemed to be relaxing along with other changes man* was not meant to know.

DIRTY DIRTY BABIES
*(“Man” in this particular case refers to “males in general.”)
Last week she was two centimeters dilated. She was three centimeters the night we went in to deliver Sun Su.
Conversation heard in the ER this week:
NURSE 1: "And when do you deliver a baby in the ER as opposed to sending the pregnant mom to the Ob/Gyn floor?"
NEW NURSE: "...?"
NURSE 1: "If the baby is crowning (i.e., you can see it's head coming out), then the baby is delivered immediately (in the ER). Otherwise you call O.B., and they'll come down quick and take the mother and deliver her upstairs."
NURSE 3: "Haha! She's asking you because it happened to her last week."
NURSE 1: "First time for me too!"
NURSE 3: "Yeah, and those babies delivered in the ER are separated from the babies delivered upstairs. They're quarantined in their own room."
NURSE 1: "Because it's not considered 'clean' in the ER. They're dirty babies. Heh."
Anyways, it should be any day now. (We're in a baby race with Shy.)
