Now Playing: DOAX Xtreme Volleyball
(Some of my favorite fighters in cat ears, thongs, mesh bikinis, doing splits, and a zOOm function.
... What's this volleyball doing here?)

Left to right: Johnny, Se Hee, me, and Amy.
(What's up with Corean girls wearing blue down coats?)

HERE'S JOHNNY

I haven't really felt like updating much lately, sorry....

I finally met the extremely likableJohnny and his fiancé a few weeks ago (and I'm finally writing about it). At first Amy wasn't all that enthused with meeting another journal person (she doesn't read anyone, no offense). In fact, when I told her about it, she said,

"This isn't going to be another one of those freaks who email you about how much they like exotic Asian women, is it?"

Nope.

Johnny and Se Hee were great. The poor guy drove all day and then went another hour out of his way to meet us for dinner. Not including the hour drive back after dinner. (This is a nice change from the last time I got invited to meet up with someone; I was actually sent a CC'd form letter then.)

We went to a Corean restaurant (of course). Johnny's pretty much been through the tour of Corean restaurants across America this month it seems.

He asked me to try my Corean with his fiancé, but I deferred. I was just shy about it. I will occasionally try to speak with a relative (but only if they've had a crush on me at some point), or during class at church, but I figured the last thing Se Hee wanted to hear after driving all day was some stranger accosting her with bad Corean. I was just chicken.

Anyways, we had a great time. Johnny is really friendly, unassuming, and just fun to be around. He has the playful physical presence of a bear. From his journal entries, I thought he was more reserved somehow (and shorter from his pictures). It's funny how some people who seem quieter online are often very different in person. And vice versa (in my case), I suppose.

Then again, maybe it was also because I've known Johnny for over a year.

His beautiful fiancé, recently from Corea, had a quiet dignity about her but she was very nice. Maybe she feels the same way about her English that I feel about my Corean. She did happen to ask why there were Japanese decorations mixed with the Corean decorations.

I figured it was to complement the Japanese sushi bar there. Most people can't tell the difference anyhow. I thought it was very Corean-Corean of her to note it though. Made me smile.

Amy did most of the talking and joking around. Ugh, she also kept asking Se Hee how old she was. I tried to stop her, but if my mother taught me anything, it's that you just can't stop a Corean woman once she really gets on your case. (Which is why some phone conversations with my mom end up with an abrupt mid-sentence "click" on my part.)

I suspect that if Amy had her own journal she would seem pretty quiet online too.

Amy and I liked them so much that we wanted them to stay overnight instead of driving back in the dark. Johnny had to get ready for his interview the next morning though, so we led them back to the freeway.

Chaemi issussoyo. [ It was fun.]

Me, Se Hee, and Johnny.
(Goddamn, my nose is big.)

THE WINTER OF R-RATED CONTENT

In other news, my cousin Kevin (related to Amy) came over Saturday. It's a good thing he did, and called first, otherwise I probably would have gone the entire day showerless and in my underwear. But I'd probably have unlocked a couple dozen more costumes in DOAX Xtreme Volleyball (X-Box).

On the other hand, if Kevin hadn't have come over, I would never have seen those two topless stripper videos in his BMX XXX game (X-Box again).

So in a yin-yang kind of way, it all works out I guess. Love that camel-Tao.

Plus, I told Kevin how to get the maximum "bounce" in the game (set AGE to 99 in the OPTIONS menu).

Kevin wrote more about our day in his journal,

"There was blood, violence, gore, jiggling boobies,

and then we played the video games."

MEDEA SIN HOT MODEL

Today's hot model category has to go to my favorite fighting game babes, the girls of DOAX Xtreme Volleyball.

When I went to pick up my reserved copy at noon last week, the cashier was a bit surprised,

"You're the first one today. I haven't even had a chance to call anyone who reserved it yet."

I was about to reply with, "I'm not early. This game is late. It was originally supposed to be released back in December. Then got pushed back to seven days ago, which was changed to yesterday. In which in every case, I was here and left empty-handed and brokenhearted. Now cut with the chit chat and give me the f***ing game."

But I didn't.

My camera takes bad pictures off of the TV.

I like wearing suspenders too.

That suspender suit cost $500,000 game dollars.

There's supposed to be a volleyball somewhere around here but I'm not looking for it.

Assassins always get the very conspicuous hair styles.

White hair dye job: $200
Cool sunglasses: $2000
Sweet red sin-suit: $500,000 (in game dollars)
Better "Medea Sin" product placement than a Super Bowl half-time commercial: PRICELESS.

All this and you can load your own CD tracks to play during the game. I've got thirty K-pop songs lined up. This is my kind of volleyball.
