IMA and FRIENDS
I wanted to draw a darker image with shadowy faces. It evolved into this pseudo Halloween-esque monster mash.
I also cheated a little. I used my imaging editor to put in the glowing outlines and darken some areas that didn't scan well. The sketchy background is a subway.

Affiliations:
1)Strong arm and poster child for the opportunistic disease-modification group known as The P.A.T.H. (People's Army of the Terminally Healed).
2) Right hand woman to Dis Yze, leader of The P.A.T.H.
Strengths: Can instantaneously mobilize the massive iron stores within her body for defensive (resistant skin, organ encasement) or offensive (iron fist or foot) purposes.
Weakness: Can only focus her iron stores on one limb or body area at a time. Vulnerable when not aware. Loses iron and power exponentially with blood loss.
Idiosyncracies: Obsessed with maintaining her serum iron levels. Ovaries removed to prevent menstruation (blood loss). Often visible iron studs are implanted into her bone marrow to enhance direct absorption.
Notes: Ima is one of the few subjects of The P.A.T.H. who doesn't seem to have a severely decreased lifespan as a result of her disease modification. Most members of The P.A.T.H. have lifespans inversely related to their newly gained supranormal abilities.
Disease Info: Based on the actual disease "hemochromatosis," an acquired or genetic syndrome which involves abnormally high serum iron levels often causing iron deposition in joints (arthritis), nerves (neuropathy), the heart (causing cardiomyopathy), liver (causing cirrhosis), and pancreas (causing diabetes), leading to organ failure. Treatment consists of draining blood periodically to decrease body iron stores. The disease also happens to be more rare in Asians (genetically) and women (due to monthly blood loss). Most common in Caucasian males (but I didn't feel like drawing one so....).

Affiliations: Member of The P.A.T.H.
Strengths: Ability to see through most forms of matter, living or non-living.
Weakness: Rex Rae's skin will often appear translucent when light is not shining directly upon it. The incandescent nature of his internal organs and skeleton becomes apparent then (i.e. glows in the dark).
Idiosyncracies: Prefers reclusive dark places with no people around ("bone bags" as he calls them). Requires goggles with lead tape to fall asleep or even relax (sees through his eyelids). Loves music.
Rex's jacket was modified to look a little like armor from the Goguryo period in Corean history. Pop cartoon "Mashimaru" is on his shirt.

Weakness: Inability to resist touching a button/switch to see what it does
